Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist, you will:
- Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-surgical conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based physical therapy interventions.
- Utilize therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, functional movement training, and patient education.
- Collaborate with chiropractors, medical providers, massage therapists, and acupuncture providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation within our electronic medical record.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and long-term wellness strategies.
- Deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining a positive and professional clinical environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Current Maine Physical Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Passion for providing high-quality, evidence-based outpatient care
Preferred
- Experience in outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine
- Manual therapy experience
- Dry needling certification (or interest in obtaining certification)
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary or integrative healthcare practice
